This page attempts to predict which students are missing a lot of class time, both in the past and in the future.

The page dates default to a whole year starting August 1. The dates can be more restrictive if finer detail is required. Select appropriate start and end dates, then press the Change date button.

The list of students processed is determined using the standard SDS student filter. Filters available for this page include Student grade, Student academic advisor, Student boarding advisor, Student homeroom advisor (home room teacher), Student has IEP, Student on my event, Students in course, (Boarding) house. These filters can be stacked if desired.

The page then processes each of the students within the dates specified. It assumes that all days have the same structure (it ignores period overrides where they have been set) and then examines all calendar events and absences entered into SDS for each student. It calculates the academic time missed by each student due to both absences and calendar events. Time missed before and including the system date (usually today) is listed as Historical Absence and Historical Event. Time that will be missed starting on the date following the system date (usually tomorrow) is listed as Future Absence and Future Event.

These totals are estimates, as the may vary due to altered schedules.

The list can be sorted on any of the column headers.

Clicking on the name of the student will direct you to the student event forecast detail page
