This page allows you to enter details of an upcoming absence, to see your teacher covers and to volunteer for cover during busy times.

Today Future Report an Absence

When adding an absence, ensure that the times of the absence are also correct. The default start and end times are midnight; if you are only away for part of a day please make sure that you have selected the correct times.

• Fill in the Report an Absence section: choose a start date and time, an end date and time, and a reason for the absence.
• Press the Add Absence button. You should see a green Success message.
• If the absence is not for today, it will not be visible under Absences Today. If you want to check that it was recorded, change the SDS viewing date to the date of your absence.
• The Cover Administrator will assign teachers to any required cover.
