This page allows you to edit a mark collection period.

Special fields

There are some fields which must be filled in with specific values for this to work properly.

MCP types: If the collection is internal mark collection only, set to marks. If it it reports only, set to reports. If it is both reports and marks, set to Reports,Marks. Midyear should be used for collecting midyear marks to display on interim reports like the transcript and midyear marks sheet at BCS. TRAX is a special case, and should be used once per school year to hold TRAX marks. For additional details on TRAX, see the TRAX documentation here: SDSGuide:TRAX_Manual

Report writing start time/end time: This is the start and end of the collection period, as in when the teachers are allowed to write reports and enter marks.

Courses that start after the report writing start time will not be included on the report.

Reporting period start time (for attendance reporting)/end time: This is the start and end of the attendance reporting on the report.

Student course registrations that are open at the end of the attendance reporting period will be included.

Report writing calendar deadline (for .ics export): This datetime is used for calendar export of the report writing deadline (which may be different than the end of the session).

Report editing calendar deadline (for .ics export): This datetime is used for calendar export of report editing deadline.

Report footer comment for grade x - this is a custom footer that will appear on reports for a particular grade.

Release to grade x: determines when this grade will be allowed access to their marks. This affects the student SDS.

Report type for grade x: this determines which PDF generator is used to create the report for students of this grade.

Report mark caption: which mark caption to display on report cards

Provincially examinable mark caption: which mark caption to display on report cards *if* the course is provincially examinable *and* there is no value entered for report mark caption

Mark captions

Modify mark captions and commit your changes by clicking on the "Save" button at the *bottom* of the page.

Add new mark captions using the "Add new mark caption" button.

If there are no marks associated with a Mark Caption, it may be deleted.
