This page aids the creation and movement of calendar events, particularly exams (event_calendar and event_test).

The top section allows filtering of dates and event_categories, and setting default values.

There is also a student search function. Use this to show all events for a particular person.

The main table is a grid for drag and drop. If an event is dropped onto a (drop here) drop zone, the event dates, the event_calendar dates and the event_test dates are set to match the start time of the column of the drop zone, and the default event duration set at the top of the page.

If more than one event exists in a particular time slot, the links below the drop zone will amalgamate information for all of the events in that time slot. This allows a number of separate exams to be processed together.

For each time slot containing events, the following links are available:

View persons

Links to a page that shows all of the persons attached to each event. This is useful for identifying and resolving conflicts.

Email persons

Links to a page that allows emailing to all of the calendar event persons.

Assign exam seat

Links to a page that allows the persons to be assigned to exam seats in resources attached to the events in the time slot.

View Exam seats

Links to a page that shows the persons assigned to each exam_seat in the attached resources.

View exam seats by person

Links to a page that shows the exam seats assigned to each person. Useful for lookup lists.

Labels

Links to a page that allows exam labels to be printed for the persons in the exam.

Invigilation

Links to a page that provides the ability to create invigilation sessions for the attached resources, and to attach teachers as invigilators to the invigilation sessions.

Create new calendar event

New events can be created directly in each time slot, respecting the start time of the slot and the default event duration.
