This page allows you to assign students to exam_seats in attached resources.
The page will allow multiple events to load together.
The resources must be attached to one of the events. The exam_seats will be drawn up according to the current exam_seat and table information for the room related to the attached resource. Each seat has a block seat checkbox, to allow this seat to remain empty. Click on the blue button Process blocks and deletes to set for the current session. This information is only available in the current session, and not stored between sessions.
At the bottom on the page will be the unplaced student list. This will show the students in each event test that have not yet been assigned an exam seat. Students who are entitled to accommodations are indicated with ** with the accommodations visible when placing the mouse over the **.
Students in the Unplaced list also have a link to book their seats individually. This allows the students to be placed into other events (different resources, different dates).
Groups of students can be placed into columns of seats by clicking the checkboxes by the names of the resources in the Unplaced Student List, then click the grey button above titled Auto place into columns:. If more than one column is selected together, students are placed by row then column. The routine will continue until it has placed all of the students, or it has run out of room. Seats for which the block seat checkbox was checked will not be filled.
Once placed, exam_seat information can be changed by dragging the student from one location to the (drop here zone of another location. Note that it is possible to assign two students to the same exam_seat.
Exam_seat information can be removed by checking the relevant delete? checkboxes, then clicking the blue button Process blocks and deletes.
The page is drag-and-drop, although sometimes it is too large to do this effectively.
