This page allows you to schedule tests for this course.
Changing date views
You can adjust the date using the Display Date dropdown at the top of the page. You can also navigate using the Previous Month and Next Month buttons.
Choosing a test date
Within the weekly view, there is:
- information about academic advisories and test blackout dates
- a list of all of the other tests occurring on each date
- a listing of students who have exceedeed the limit of tests that they are allowed to take on one day (they have three)
If your course runs on a particular day, there is also
- a separate listing of the students in your class who already have two tests
- a listing of students in your course who are scheduled to be absent (on a calendar item, absent or in some form of booked testing) so that you know whether this is a good day to book your test
- a button labelled "Schedule Test", which will be disabled if you are not allowed to schedule a test on that date.
SDS checks to ensure that all students in the class do not already have the maximum permitted number of tests in other classes scheduled, and will disable creating a test on days where a student would violate this rule if you created a new test on those days.
Entering test information
Once you have pressed the "Schedule Test" button, you will see a box allowing you to name the test you are scheduling so you can identify it in the system. You can also specify the duration of the test, and which set of LR accommodations should be used by eligible students. This information is used when scheduling LR testing spaces for those students.
Viewing test information
- Moving the mouse cursor over the name of a course in the weekly view will display a box with the name of the course and the course_subset, along with the proposed duration of the test.
Cancelling a test
- If you are the teacher of a particular course, you can edit or cancel the test using the event interface. Go to My courses->[course name] and select Edit tests. Clicking on the Cancel button will change the test to cancelled.of the event will allow you to edit the event properties of the test.
Setting system variables
The maximum number of tests per student per week can be set in the system variables (in api.smus.ca). If this value is 0, SDS will count the number of timetable days in the week that are not blacked out, and set that number as the maximum number of tests allowed per student for that week.
